  • Rose Bud guard Randi Hartwick drilled consecutive three-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Lady Ramblers opened the period with an 11-4 run and held on down the stretch to defeat the third-seeded Nemo Vista Lady Red Hawks 46-43 on Saturday in the semifinals of the Greers Ferry Lake Classic.
Hartwick's second three-pointer pushed Rose Bud's lead to 39-32, but Nemo Vista whittled away, slicing its deficit to a bucket when guard Jacie Andrews ripped her third three-pointer of the fourth quarter.
With the Lady Ramblers leading 44-43, Nemo Vista had a chance to take the lead late but guard Chase Paladino's driving shot rolled off the rim. Rose Bud post player Natalie Sherwood controlled the defensive rebound and was fouled with 2.5 seconds remaining. Sherwood sank both free throws to set the final at 46-43.
Point guard Lexi Jackson, who hit five free throws in the pivotal fourth quarter, led Rose Bud (7-3) with 12 points, Sherwood followed with 10, Hartwick added nine and guard Bailee Burchfield chipped in seven.
Andrews nailed four three-pointers while pacing Nemo Vista (12-4) with 16 points, Paladino had 14 and forward Cassidy Thompson finished with seven.
