The Arkadelphia freshman Lady Badger squad left 17 points at the charity stripe Saturday as they fell 34-17 to the Hope Lady Bobkittens.

Hope took an 11-4 lead in the opening quarter, and they stretched their lead to 21-7 by the halftime buzzer.

The Lady Badgers came out strong in the third period, putting up nine while holding Hope scoreless to cut the deficit to 21-16.

The home team could not keep their run going, however, as they were held to a single made free throw out of 10 attempts while the Lady Bobkittens added 13 to secure the win.

Sealy Thigpen led the Lady Badgers with seven points, and Jalise Hayes and August McClure had three apiece.

Jada Summerville put up two while Diovinni McDore and Indesia Eley had one each.

The Lady Badgers hit five of 22 attempts from the free throw line for 23 percent efficiency.

The Lady Badgers will be back in action Friday as they travel to Hot Springs to face the Benton Lady Panthers in the Kameron Hale Invitational. Tip-off is set for 10 a.m.
