The Arkadelphia Badgers wasted no time in taking control of the game Friday night as they rolled over the Malvern Leopards, 76-35.

The Badgers put up 22 points in the opening quarter while allowing only seven by the Leopards, but both teams added 14 in the second for a 36-21 Badger lead at the half.

After the break, the Badgers again took control of the court, adding 19 while giving up only seven to stretch their lead to 55-28.

The final eight minutes were much like the first eight as the Badgers outscored the Leopards 21-7 to set the final.

Kris Oliver led the Badgers with 18 points. He had four rebounds, seven assists and five steals.

Adrian Barrett had nine points, and Kevin Lewis added eight. Lewis also had two rebounds.

Keon Lewis, Bryant Robinson and Mark Brazil each put up seven points. Lewis had two rebounds. Robinson had four rebounds, an assist and a steal, and Brazil grabbed three boards.

Jeff Blake had six points with three takeaways and a rebound.

Nathan Carter and Jakahari Howell added three apiece. Carter had six boards, a steal and a block, and Howell had four rebounds.

Jacob Coon had three points, a rebound and a steal.

The Badgers will be back in action starting Thursday as they travel to Fort Smith to play in the Coke Classic, hosted by Fort Smith Northside at UAFS. They will face North Little Rock at 4:15 p.m.
