The Arkadelphia Lady Badgers were able to take control of the ball in the second and fourth quarters to earn a 43-32 win over the Benton-Harmony Grove Lady Cardinals Thursday night.
The Lady Badgers struggled somewhat in the opening period, falling behind 9-5, but they quickly recovered in the second, outscoring the Lady Cardinals 13-8 to take an 18-17 lead at the break.
Benton-Harmony Grove came out in the third quarter, putting up 11 while holding the home team to eight to take a 28-26 lead.
The Lady Badgers recovered in the final stanza of play, adding 17 while allowing four to secure the win.
Angelique Robinson led the Lady Badgers with 15 points. She had nine rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Chasity Burris had 11 points with seven steals.
Kelsey Kobe had nine points, eight boards and three takeaways.
Amarya Jones put up seven points while grabbing six rebounds.
Brenna Smith rounded out the scoring with one point.
"The biggest determining factor in the game was the fourth quarter," said head coach Lynn Rook. "We out-rebounded them 38-23."
The Lady Badgers hit 10 of 22 from the free throw line for 45 percent efficiency.
They will be back in action tonight as they travel to Malvern to open their conference schedule. Tip-off will follow the JV boys game at 5 p.m.
