  • An arrest has been made in the incident at Triple J Truck Stop on North Hervey Street, where three persons were injured early Thursday morning.
    Gunshots ringing out at the Triple J Truck Stop in Hope were possibly a result of an altercation at Tyson Foods earlier Wednesday night, according to Hope Police Department Assistant Chief Kim Tomlin.
    Three victims, Roderick Purifoy, 28, of Bluff City, Summerial Threadgill, 20, and Bridgett Currey, 24, both of Magnolia, were treated and released at Wadley Regional Medical Center-Hope, on Thursday morning, after being taken to the hospital from the scene by private vehicle.
    Keith D. Moses, 27, of Hope, was arrested in connection with the shooting incident on Thursday, at approximately 2:25 p. m., at the Hope Police Department, according to Tomlin.
    Tomlin had no details concerning Moses' arrest or further details of the origins of the shooting at press time Friday.
    Moses was charged with three counts of Battery 1st Degree, Possession of Firearms by certain persons, four counts of Aggravated Assault, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. He is in the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first judicial appearance.
