A presentation of the 2014 proposed budget is expected to be one of the highlights of Tuesday’s Arkadelphia City Board of Director's meeting.
According to Arkadelphia City Manager Jimmy Bolt, the formatting of the proposed budget is similar to the 2013 budget.
Other items to be addressed:
• Directors will revisit a measure to provide additional compensation for Arkadelphia city employees. The measure failed due to a lack of support during the city board meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Due to the absence of two board members during the last meeting, Arkadelphia Mayor Chuck Hollingshead has requested that the item be placed on Tuesday's agenda to be considered by the full board.
• The board will have the third reading of an ordinance to increase the city manager's spending authority from $10,000 to $20,000.
• The second reading of an ordinance amending certain parking regulations will be presented.
Time and place
Tuesday's meeting will be held in the boardroom of Arkadelphia Town Hall and will not be televised.
Due to the Arkadelphia Christmas parade at 5 p.m., the meeting time has been changed to 6:30 p.m.
