A pedestrian was killed Friday when an Arkadelphia man struck her with a pickup truck.
Nicki M. Stauffer, 29, of Longview, Texas, was struck late Friday night on Highway 7 near Bismarck in Hot Spring County, according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary.
The report says Stauffer had gotten out of her parked vehicle on the shoulder of the highway and was walking north on the highway when a northbound GMC pickup hit her. The accident happened at 10:30 p.m.
Stauffer was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m. by Hot Spring County Coroner Ernie Cox.
The driver of the pickup, 42-year-old Karl N. Bock, of 2618 Elaine St., Arkadelphia, was not injured, the report states.
Stauffer's body was being held at Davis-Smith Funeral Home in Glenwood.
