Charles was a retired welder/fabricator and an active member of Boughton Baptist Church.

Charles Lawson Overstreet, age 79, of Arkadelphia, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was born June 29, 1933, in Rosebud, the son of the late Charlie Everett and Elberta Wilkinson Overstreet. He was a retired welder/fabricator and an active member of Boughton Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Kelley Marlar Overstreet; and daughter, Sharon Kay Overstreet.

Survivors include Steve (Gaylee) Overstreet of Collierville, Tenn.; two grandsons, Clint (Charlotte) Overstreet of Germantown, Tenn., and Tony (Erika) Overstreet of Bartlett, Tenn.; four great-granddaughters, Sophia, Anna, Ada and Miriam; and one great-grandson, Chaffee.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 21, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Dr. Scott Jackson and Robbie O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in the DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
