  • Baseline-Meridian Chapter, United States Daughters of 1812 (U.S.D. 1812), recently presented Cadet Sergeant (C/SGT) Sierra Adams of Arkadelphia High School with the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) certificate and medal.

  • Baseline-Meridian Chapter, United States Daughters of 1812 (U.S.D. 1812), recently presented Cadet Sergeant (C/SGT) Sierra Adams of Arkadelphia High School with the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC)  certificate and medal.  C/SGT Adams, a sophomore, was selected by her JTOTC instructor, Lt. Col. Michael Shepherd,  for “demonstrating qualities of academic excellence, leadership, military discipline, dependability, patriotism and upright character in speech and habits, which exemplify the ideals upon which our nation was founded. “
     
    The U.S.D. 1812, with over 160 chapters across the nation, promotes patriotism, preserves and increases knowledge of the history of the American people.   Any woman over eighteen years of age who is of direct lineal descent from an ancestor who rendered civil, military, or naval service to our Country during the years 1784-1815, inclusive, shall be eligible for membership.
