Junior Jimmilee Smith put up 21 points to lead the Bismarck Lady Lions to a 47-34 win over Fouke Friday night in Holt Gymnasium.
Only two Lady Lions scored in the first period, but their combined total put the home team up by 11, 19-8.
The Lady Lions steadied themselves in the second period, adding 11 while securing a 17-point lead over the visiting Lady Panthers at the half, 30-13.
Both teams came out strong after the break, putting up seven points each, but it was Fouke that came out ahead in the final eight minutes, outscoring the home team 14-10.
The four point buffer in the quarter was not enough to dig the team out of the hole that had been dug by the Lady Lions, leaving the home team with the win.
Smith added seven rebounds to her 21 points. She scored 10 points in the opening quarter.
Baleigh Vinson, who scored nine in the opening period, totalled 15 points on the night, grabbing five rebounds and scoring four takeaways.

The Lady Lions will be back in action tonight as they play host to Centerpoint. Tip-off will follow the seventh grade game and junior girls game.
