For a short time this morning Jerry Palmer and Larry White and their employees were busy working accidents caused the by sleet, snow and rain the blanketed the area. Palmer's responded to two accidents on the interstate at the 62 mile marker, one eastbound and one westbound. They also pulled two vehicles out of the ditch, one on Highway 67 north of Gurdon and one on Highway 67 south of Gurdon.
Ricketts responded to four accidents all on I-30; at the 61 mile marker, 62 mile marker, 63 mile marker and at the 76 mile marker.
Larry White said, "If they just would have waited a few hours they would have been alright." He suspected it could get treacherous again tonight when things refreeze.
