Daphne Lea Wood, age 85, of Little Rock, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.
Daphne Lea Wood, age 85, of Little Rock, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. She was born May 28, 1927, in Willow, the daughter of the late Jesse and Maggie Kitchen Reynolds. Daphne was a homemaker, a member of Third Street Baptist Church and attended Henderson Methodist Church in Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doyle Lea; her second husband, Marshall Wood; one son, Doyle Wayne Lea; and seven sisters.
Daphne is survived by one daughter, Fonda Courtney (Richard) Ayers of Little Rock; one son, Bo (Brenda) Lea of Glenwood; one step-son, Leslie (Carolyn) Wood of Arkadelphia; daughter-in-law, Sue Lea of Conway; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Welch Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Frase officiating. Interment will be in Delamar Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Steve Lewis, Brad Farmer, Brantley Jarrell, Jonathan Mariner, Hunter Newberry and Michael Babb.
