The Arkadelphia Freshman Lady Badgers had a rough night Thursday at home as they faced off against the Lady Rams of Lakeside.
The Lady Badgers could not get their shots to fall as they ultimately fell 33-16 in the matchup.
Both teams played tough defense, and that was clearly evident in the opening period as the Lady Rams led 5-2.
The Lady Badgers were only able to add one in the second as Lakeside took a 13-3 lead at the half.
The third stanza was much like the previous two as the Lady Rams stretched their lead to 14 points, 23-9.
The Lady Badgers added seven in the final minutes of the game, but it was not enough to overcome the Lady Rams as the team fell.
The Lady Badgers hit seven of their 13 shots from the charity stripe for 54 percent, and the team only put up a single three-pointer and three deuces.
Logan Oestreich led the Lady Badgers with seven points, and Autumn Blankenship added three.
Arianna Middleton and Tori Jones put up two each, and Kaitlyn Williams and Victoria Lewis had one apiece.
The Lady Badgers will be back on the court Monday as they hit the road to face the Camden Fairview Lady Cardinals. Tip-off will follow the eighth grade boys game.
