The Arkadelphia Board of Directors Retreat is set for Saturday. The retreat is an informal event and is open to the public in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act.
As of Thursday, Arkadelphia City Manager Jimmy Bolt was in the process of working on the agenda for Saturday’s meeting.
Items to be discussed
• An awareness test will be given to provoke directors to think about issues of importance to the board and the community.
• Directors will look at benefits it could possibly offer the city’s employees.
• Funding for the city.
• The board will discuss the direction of the city.
• Directors will also take a look at the past year’s performance.
About the retreat
According to Bolt, the purpose of the retreat is to allow board members more time to discuss city issues in a less formal setting.
Bolt said the meeting will be opened and adjourned just like a regular city board meeting.
Time and place
The retreat will be held from 9 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. at the Arkadelphia Parks and Recreation Center located at 2555 Twin Rivers Drive.
