T. W. “Bill” McMaster, 85, of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, in Little Rock. He was born on March 4, 1924, in Okolona, the son of the late Thomas Monroe and Mecie Lisenby McMaster. Bill was a retired heavy equipment operator, a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II, and a member of Okolona United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carol Rushing McMaster; two sons, Larry McMaster and wife, Kathy of Aztec, New Mexico; Jerry McMaster and wife, Debra of Hope; one daughter, Linda Brown of College Station, Texas; three brothers, Kenneth McMaster and Tommy McMaster both of Longview, Texas, Johnny McMaster of Jacksonville; two sisters, Nina Smith of Henderson, Texas, Joyce Golden of Okolona; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and a special pet, Benjie.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Wilkins officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Okolona Cemetery at Okolona. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
