Arkadelphia's ninth grade boys had a big fourth quarter, scoring 19 points to pull away and beat Hope 42-25 Monday. The ninth grade girls won by two points on a last second shot, 28-26.

Arkadelphia's ninth grade boys had a big fourth quarter, scoring 19 points to pull away and beat Hope 42-25 Monday.
Jakhiry Howell scored 11 points and pulled down several big rebounds. Bud Lewis and Kenneth Hedspeth each scored six points and played well on top of the defense. Jalen Barrett scored four points and went two of three from the free-throw line. Cantrell Lewis, Kris Oliver, and Tre' Jones each scored three points. Keon Lewis and Chris Cook both had two points.

According to ninth grade Coach Trent Smith, the  eighth grade boys won “big” and the eighth grade girls, according to Head Coach Buth Alexander, played “the best game of their lives” in dominating the Lady Bobcats of Hope 31 to 15. 
Angelique Robinson led all scorers with 10.  Seven other Lady Beavers scored in a great team effort.  Those were Raley Thompson, Jordan Philson, Amarya Jones, and Kelsey Kobe with four each.  Also adding points were Miranda Blankenship, Spencer Tuggle, and Jalan Luster. 
Others contributing with strong defense were Mylee Scott, Yerenia Adame, Haley Sullivan, Callie Smith, Anna Williams, Haley Harvell, Alexa Spinks, and Haley Elmore.
