Arkadelphia’s Lady Badgers attacked Dequeen Friday night with a very balanced offensive effort with three players scoring double digit points and three others having seven or more.  The frustrated Dequeen Lady Leopards fell to Arkadelphia 57-37.

Jasmine Dickerson led the Lady Badgers with  13 points, seven assists, and three steals. Chekeita Roberts and Chelsea Welch scored 10 points each while Roberts also had five rebounds and Welch had four rebounds and two assists. Briana Seale contributed eight points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists. Britlee Williams scored six points, had six steals and two assists. Jordan Cooper scored seven points.
“We had a very balanced team effort, the kind you want to see as a coach,” said head Coach Lynn Rook.
The Lady Badgers move to 12-9 overall and 5-3 in their conference, putting them all alone in third place.
In other Lady Badger basketball news, the junior varsity girls beat Dequeen 26-14. Cooper led the squad with seven points. Kaitlyn Reid scored six, Alicia Roberts contributed five points and Lavonda Guinn scored four points.
The Lady Badgers will return to the court at the AHS gymnasium Tuesday to face Ashdown before making the long trip to Waldron Friday. The JV tipoff at 5 p.m. will begin the evening.
