The cats and kittens at the shelter include long-haired, short-haired and all colors. A few have been declawed, and all are old enough for immediate adoption. All of the cats will be either spayed or neutered, have had their shots and have been wormed. An ongoing need at the humane society shelter is scoopable cat litter. The litter is one of the most expensive items needed every day for the care of the cats and kittens. Other items that are greatly needed are trash bags, bleach and Arm and Hammer litter deodorizer. Call 245-2579 for more information.

The humane society needs volunteers on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Volunteers can spend as little as one hour helping to transport animals, feeding, cleaning, teaching socializing skills or assisting with fund-raising activities.
Foster homes are needed for dogs and cats, and animals may be “adopted” overnight or for a weekend.
The Humane Society of Clark County strongly encourages pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to prevent the births of unwanted animals.
