Funeral services for Zeola Hale, 78, of Hot Springs, who died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, in Saline Memorial Medical Center, Benton, will be held Sunday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Hale, pastor of St. Ruth Baptist Church, Gum Springs, Arkansas Eulogist, and the Rev. Donald Crossley, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery with Brandon’s Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Zeola Jackson Hale was born De. 4, 1931, in Erois, La., and moved to Hot Springs. She was married to the late Tracy Thomas Hale Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as church clerk, pianist, deaconess and worked diligently in the Southwest District.
She is survived by her children Alice Fay and Jesse Combs of Detroit, Mich., Robert Hale and Janice of Jacksonville, Fla., Fredrick Hale of Overton Park, Kan., Kenneth Hale of Mesa, Ariz., the Rev. Thomas Hale and Deborah of Benton, Tracy Hale II and Anita of Milwaukee, Wisc., Eddie Lee Hale and Maxine of Burlington, Iowa, and Dorothy King and Kermit, James Edward Hale and Dianne, Johnny Lee Hale and Mary, all of Milwaukee, Wisc.; one brother, Sam Jackson of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Zella Mae Roach of Monroe, La., and Bernice Jackson of Mount Pleasant, La.; 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 3, 6-7 p.m. at St. Thomas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
